Just
wanted to drop you a line to let you know that you were our
first experience in a Bed & Breakfast. We normally travel
with a pet, and usually won't allow pets.
We
were very pleasantly surprised with our accommodations, and
the wonderful homey atmosphere you and your husband provided.
Visiting with the other overnighters at the breakfast table
was just like visiting with family recounting yesterdays
happenings.
We
did stay at other B&Bs during the remainder of our trip,
and were quite satisfied with them as well, but none really
compared with our experiences at your place. We intend to be
back in your area in about 2 years, and will certainly look
forward to spending more nights with you.

House in Valdez
is
a comfortable, hospitable setting for any visitor.
I
have stayed in the Blessing House B&B itself for about one
week in 2001;
and
in a 3 bedroom mobile home owned by the Hurshes in 2000.
Both
situations were extremely satisfactory. Diann and Ron are
excellent hosts: helpful and friendly but never
intrusive.

Valdez
is a place with lots to do!
A minimum stay of 2 days is highly
recommended, and gives you a better rate: Two day stays are at
old rates, 2008 rate is $10 higher per room for one day only stays
Not only will you be getting a needed rest from long travel, but also
you will not miss out on the museums (3), gift shops, fishing,
cruises, river rafting , kayaking! Not to mention one-of-a-kind fabulous
scenery with many hiking trails and the Forest Service information
booth & lectures! Watch the salmon swim upstream & take
the self-guided tour of the fish hatchery! Watch the fishermen
bring in their catch. 2005 was the 50th Anniversary of the Fish
Derbies. Enter into the fun!

friends graciously enjoy lounging outside under the covered porch,
viewing the mountains, should they wish to smoke.

Our Valdez Fire

Unless you're
coming for a specific winter event, I would recommend tourists plan
their trip to Valdez between 5/15 and 9/5. The weather is fairly good and
the various tours are up and running!

more space & privacy for your party?
Day Rentals only, no food included; however, use of
kitchen/laundry & all the comforts of home! Ideal choices for the
serious fishermen & fisherwomen!
